Diaspora Mission- Engaging Muslims in the Diaspora
World Religions – Islam

Imtiaz Khan is London City Mission’s Islam Missiologist Training Director, equipping missionaries and churches to share the gospel with Muslims in London. Among other responsibilities, Imtiaz’s primary role is developing resources for churches to inspire and equip everyday Christians to understand the Muslim world and the Muslim mindset and share the gospel confidently.

Over the last 25 years, Imtiaz has been engaging with Muslims at various levels. He has experienced meeting with Muslims one-on-one to talk about the gospel message. He also held group meetings (Christian-Muslim Discussion meetings) to discuss similarities and differences between Christianity and Islam, clearly aiming to preach the gospel.  His experience engaging with Muslims led him to develop a Muslim Engagement Training (MET) programme.  This training course is designed to help Christians understand and talk confidently about three essential beliefs that Islam denies: the authority of Scripture, the divinity of Jesus and his work on the cross.

Imtiaz’s academic journey is a testament to his commitment to his mission. He is currently pursuing an MA (Master of Arts—Christian Apologetics) at Biola University in the USA. He also holds a BA (Hons) in applied theology from Redcliffe College in the UK and has completed ayear-long programme in expository preaching from Cornhill—Proclamation Trust.
