Diaspora Mission – Biblical and Theological Basis for Diaspora Mission
World Religions (Islam)

Matthew Reifsnider, affectionately called Matt, has served in international missions since 1988. For over 30 years, he has worked internationally with Majority-World people from Muslim and Hindu backgrounds, including 10 years living in a Muslim country ministering to migrant workers and refugees.

Matthew has also served as a Mission Strategist at the International Learning Centre, an English language school and church-planting programme for international communities in the USA.  He has created and implemented several training seminars on Islam and cross-cultural ministry.

Matthewholds amaster’sdegree in Practical Theology from the University of Chester and a Ph.D. from Middlesex University through the Oxford Centre of Missions Studies. His doctorate is in the Sociology of Religion in relation to Muslim Migrants.

Matthew will contribute to our Diaspora Mission module, where he explores the “Biblical and Theological Basis for Diaspora Mission.” He will also contribute towards our World Religion module, particularly in the area of Islam.

Matthew is married to Usha Riefsnider, who serves on the CTC leadership team.
