Guest Lecturer - Diaspora Mission: African Diaspora Churches

Dr Sheila Akomiah-Conteh is a Ghanaian scholar based in Scotland. She holds a doctorate degree in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen where she researched the changing landscape of the church in Scotland with a specific focus on new and emerging churches in the city of Glasgow. Her wider research and academic interests include African and minority ethnic Christianity in the diaspora, church growth, contemporary missiology, Christian women empowerment, world religions, and contemporary issues in religion. She is a qualitative research consultant and tutor in religion and philosophy, and a busy mother of two.
