Guest Lecturer - Reformed/Evangelical Theology and Church History in Asian Context

Paul and his wife Nadine serve with OMF International in the UK. Paul is an outward-facing Theological Educator at Large and is currently building relationships with theologicalinstitutions in Mongolia, Malaysia, and Singapore.  He serves part-time as a Doctoral Research Mentor for the Asia Graduate School of Theology (Alliance), based in Malaysia. He is an experienced PhD supervisor and lecturer, having previously served at the Oxford Centre for MissionStudies and Singapore Bible College. He has also worked as editor of the OCMS journal ‘Transformation’ and Directorof Regnum Books and remains part of the editorial team.

Paul has considerableexperience of working with Chinese churches in the UK and Southeast Asia. He came to faith and was ordained by the Manchester Chinese Christian Church. In Singapore, he taught varioustheology and mission courses, with specialemphasis on contextualisation and Christianity as a global faith.

His research is now focused on Central Asia, including Mongolia, and he is particularlycommitted to research and development in theological approaches to creation care. He maintains research interests in contextual theology and artificial intelligence.

He holds a PhD in Chinese Corpus Linguistics from Sheffield University, a PhD in Biblical Theology from AGST Alliance, and an MTh in Applied Theology from Spurgeon’s College.

Paul’s wife, Nadine, is originally from China. She is an administrator at OCMS. They have three grown-up children.
