Eben Adu is an ordained Minister of the Gospel and an interdisciplinary scholar and theologian. He holds a BA (Hons) Theology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, an MA in Missiology from Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary in Seoul, South Korea, and a PhD in Pastoral Studies/Practical Theology from North-West University, Potchefstroom, SA. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management from Northumbria University, England. His works focus on Missions, particularly African Diaspora Mission/Ministry in the West; Global Pentecostalism with a particular interest in Africa and the diaspora; Pastoral Ministry, primarily African neo-Pentecostal pastoral leadership in the West; and Leadership and Management, with interest in running effective and adaptive organisations and cross-cultural teams. As an interdisciplinary theologian, he believes in the intersection of practical church/mission practices and academia. His current research focus is ‘African neo-Pentecostals’ Reception of the Bible and its Impact on World Christianity.’

He has had the privilege to serve as a pastor in churches in Ghana and London. Therefore, has much understanding of the predominantly African diaspora churches. Through his engagements with indigenous British multicultural churches, especially the Pentecostal/charismatic ones, he has gained much insight into their way of doing church. Thus, he understands the traditions of the predominant African diaspora church and that of the indigenous British multicultural church. He is currently working with London City Mission (LCM) as a Training Manager, serving as a lecturer on the in-house Urban Mission Course and Foundation Course – primarily teaching a range of sessions including Biblical Studies, Apologetics, Pastoral and Practical Evangelism and other missiological topics. He serves as one of the Lead Mentors for LCM’s collaboration with Union School of Theology, Graduate Diploma programme, GDip, facilitating modules like Biblical Preaching, Pastoral Theology, Systematic Theology, etc.  He also provides training input to LCM specialist teams, particularly supporting the Diaspora Specialism (Ministry).

He lives in Northfleet, Kent, with his lovely family. Eben is a Manchester United fan and enjoys food from different cultural backgrounds, particularly African and Asian, especially Korean dishes.
